Essential Oil Scanners - Zyto and iTOVi

By now, you have probably heard about these little scanners that are able to tell you which supplements or essential oils you should use based on a "scan" of the body. There were 2 of these little machines at one of the shows I recently attended. So, what the heck, I thought I would try it out and see what the results were.

Each machine told me something totally different. Based on what the results were, I needed a whole lot of essential oils. Granted, these were 2 different machines, with different technology. Since both are able to be used with any essential oil company, how is it possible to get such different readings? I am not the first person to have such different readings happen in a short span of time. In fact, those different readings happen more often than not. A friend of mine said she had a reading done by a Zyto scanner, left that booth, went to another booth to have a reading done by another Zyto scanner, and the readings were totally different. Hmmmm......

Well.... it's quite a high-priced product, plus the subscriptions can be quite pricey. Let's compare.

Zyto

Taken directly from the Zyto website:

"Harnessing the same powerful technology that has been used by thousands of health professionals, the ZYTO Compass provides a fast, user-friendly way to better inform your choice of nutritional supplements.

The features of the ZYTO Compass do not provide diagnostic or other healthcare-related information, but instead focus on allowing you to maximize your sales potential, increase your credibility, and improve your relationships with clients as you show them how you discover your optimal supplements."

It looks like the actual scanner is free, but a required monthly subscription of $39.95, or a yearly $399.50 needs to be paid for it to work.

iTOVi

Taken directly from the iTOVI website:

"If you run a repeat scan within a short period of time, the technology takes into account your previous scans and recommendations. This is very important. As the scanner gathers more information about your body’s responses, the more intuitive the results become. Over time, past information influences the scan less and less, allowing the recommendations to be impacted by your current needs."

There are 2 options for owing this scanner as well. Either you pay $9.99 for it with a $39.99 monthly access fee or shell out $799 to have lifetime access.

The Zyto scanner said it all, right there on their website, "allowing you to maximize your SALES potential, increase your credibility, and improve your relationships with clients as you show them how you discover your optimal supplements". An essential oil is NOT a supplement.

Check out what Device Watch had to say about the Zyto Scanner.

And another article reviewing the iTOVi and Zyto Scanners, which they call scammers.

These machines are only as good as the human who programmed it or wrote the software. I know they can be tailored to supplements as well, not just essential oils. Again, I can't comprehend how placing your hand on a cradle that "scans" your body can tell you what you were deficient in. Don't get me wrong, I love energy medicine, I am studying homeopathy. However, this is now what I call energy medicine.

Save your money, use it to attend a reputable aromatherapy school instead of wasting it on these products, not designed really for use with essential oils.

Love and light!
