Essential Oil Spotlight - 28 Ways Orange Can Help You!

Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a cold pressed peel oil with a top note. Orange has a fresh, fruity, light, cheerful, and uplifting scent. It is one of my favorite scents.

On the ScienceDaily website, an article titled, Orange essential oil may help alleviate post-traumatic stress disorder, "Mice exposed to orange essential oil by passive inhalation showed a significant reduction in freezing behavior and stopped freezing earlier than the water-exposed, fear-conditioned mice. They also showed significant differences in the types of immune cells present after fear conditioning."

According to, in a study dated November 2015, The effect of aromatherapy by essential oil of orange on anxiety during labor: A randomized clinical trial,"Based on the results of the present study, it is concluded that orange scent may be useful in childbirth units to help women experiencing this stressful stage of their life (labor) in decreasing their anxiety and tension."
